i doubt if very many people would say they can be a stand up comic, because that's brutal. Just getting in front of an audience scares the daylights out of many people. And your feedback from your peers doesn't really matter. What happens in the market after you put your ideas to work with real money is what matters. I think people can manage their own money. However, they should recognize that it is a highly competitive playing field and you do need an edge. The easiest edge to get is simply to be patient and have a long term horizon.
