The Adaptive Advantage of Signaling a Need for Care
I think there is an sort of an adaptive advantage to being able to signal a need for care. And we all have a sort of we're sort of wired to attend to people who need care. But that can also get sort of become hyperter feed if that's the only tool in our toolbox. It just seems like we don't have a good language for kind of psychosomatic expressions of distress. We need a better language and take those kind of experiences seriously.
