The Scale of Slavery and Trafficking
The business of human trafficking globally generates around $150 billion in profits annually, according to the ILO. The Global Organized Crime Index found state officials and client networks who hold influence over state authorities are now the most dominant brokers of organized crime. With so much money to be made from these crimes, there will always be powerful individuals who are corrupted by this. We've never in our history as a human race, we've never managed to abolish slavery and trafficking.
