The Economy Isn't Static

Our economy is hardly an example of unfettered capitalism. The good news is that the economy isn't static. In 1800, can anybody guess what the average household annual income was in the US? It was $1,000. That's about the same as it is today in Malawi and Mozambique. And it's probably not coincidental that their economies, the structure of their economies, looks surprisingly similar to what it was in theUS 200 years ago.
