Ray Croc's Relationship With Joan Croc

Ray Croc had only disdain for higher education, one stating that the world was filled with too many baccalaureates and too few butchers. The incident seemed to generate greater enthusiasm for the Padres who would draw more than a million fans in 1974 - unprecedented attendance. It also impacted his relationship with his wife as she became heavily involved in philanthropic and medical research related issues. Her stature in both her marriage and the foundation was underlined by her opposition to an initial intent of the foundation to buy the naming rights to Dartmouth Medical School  with a $20 million donation.
