Resistance to Threats of Violence
I want to use that, I guess, kind of idea of resistance to wrap up really. What I was very interested in is those quieter acts of resistance that we see. So again, working and sort of pushing back on the idea of the culture and creative industries as a space purely understood through an economic lens. Many of the women that I did research with could be understood more accurately through a cultural ecology lens where we see the work they're doing had both civic and economic purposes to it. And so there's very interesting emergent research there around the relationship of secular principles and Islamic principles of activism which I'd like to pursue further.
