The Ghost of a Root Cellar

The story happened about two years ago when I was 19. It's crazy that a person would do something like that to someone they called a friend, but weirder things have happened. We helped him out of that cellar, got one of his arms over eachof our shoulders, then helped him limp down the trail back towards where we'd first walked on to. No one ever caught up with us. The person who had shot or stabbed him never round down the trail behind us.
