The Importance of Geology
I was interested in the way you spoke about the vast explanatory power of geology as a field, a kind of etymology of everything. And I think about the importance of the natural sciences as one of the lenses through which we can better understand the world and ourselves. But attention also arises for me in what I might describe as the scientific impulse to graft human logic onto everything, to know everything. So that's something about geology that people have to make peace with or they probably won't stay in it.
