Love is about caring for people and things in ways that exceed the practical benefits we get from them. We don't have, in my view, moral obligations to brands the way we do to our chldren. Even though people are much less altruistic with brands than they are with their kids,. there's still some of this that goes on. Why people love a brand and somebody else says something bad about it on social media, they'll rise to its defence. When you're taking your own time and energy, and you're putting it into promoting this brand or defending this brand, when there's really no direct a benefit, no practical benefit th t you're going to get from that
