The Beef Industry in Brazil
Two-thirds of all agricultural land on Earth is used to raise cattle, sheep and goats. The red meat industry as a whole is responsible for approximately half of the total greenhouse gas emissions created by agribusiness. Brazil produces around 22% of the world's beef supply; they produce 18%. They are not just second, but a very close second.
