Is There a Tendency for the Bad Boys of Daoism?

There is a tendency for the bad boys of this tradition to justify their behaviour as crazy wisdom or something. But i mean, there's also a thing, isn't that if eu ging to spend a lot of time in self inquiry, one of the trps would be self justification? It can start with very simple things, justifying a very small habit that we have. And then it's not so difficult to see how maybe that justification could pass on to bigger acts at a later stage. Is sort of an emphasis in the tradition, if you're really practising it in a pure and disciplined way, to be on the lookout for this kind of thing and prevent it from happening.
