Fowler and Jiezek represent a real departure from that traditional cultural studies, Frankfurt School response to critical theory. That that the way in which it does things for us, for Adorno and Horkheimer was disastrous. Like that's about that's the way we lose our subjectivity. And I think what's interesting is that he calls it a defense mechanism of not actually going out and being violent in any possible way later.
