The New Model Army - The First Modern Military Force
In 16 forty five, the new model army won its first major victory at nasby. The king saw that he was in grave danger and retreated to oxford which was one of the few sort of royalist strongholds left in england after this point. While he is being held prisoner, oxford surrenders to parliament. So basically, at this point, the war is effectively over. And the question now is, what's going to happen to the king and the church and everyone who supported the royalist cause?
