The sequel is in development hell. Kurgis stated that while his original plan was for there to be a kung pao trilogy. Discussions to make us equal with 20th century studios have not worked out. He also stated he is thought of making a spiritual successor to the film using spaghetti westerns and or sword and sandal films.
