The Egyptian Hittite Peace Treaty

The egyptian hittite peace treaty may have been made as a response to the in power of the assyrians. While the battle of kadesh was taking place, the assyrian were busy trying to take control of the mitani lands. The fall of hatusha is also symbolic of the fall of the hittite empire. This would be one of our first casualties of a period of history called the late bronze age collapse. It will therefore be the subject of our next podcast.
