How to Find Whales With a Digital Camera

We pick out certain bands of the wavelength, we sharpen them using the black and white band. And then we also do an automated analysis to see which one works the best. We go on a pixel by pixel basis counting whales, but that can be quite labour intensive if you're looking at every pixel to see where a whale is. What you want is something that you can press a button and it goes and picks and finds the whales for you. You'd think you could identify everything, but the computer is actually finding most of those whales themselves.
