Vlad Teppish's horrifying behaviors and birthplace of Transylvania may have inspired the tale of Dracula. Vlad supposedly liked to dine among the bodies of his victims and would even dip his bread in their blood. In place of his father's title of Drakul, meaning the devil, Vlad adopted the name of Dracula, meaning son of the dragon.
