Yoda and luke's relationship didn't start from a place of trust right away. Yoda let luke believe that he was just this person who could take him to yoda, and was testing him the entire time. He has to start off, or he has to be broken down so that he can be back up. That's one of the things that lucas tried to do with ankin in the preque trilogy,. except he rebuilt himself in a very different way. And is that they need to reshape your mind so that you think like every one else.
