Tobacco use is highly prevalent across most of the amazon. It's consumed in different ways, such as blowing tobacco into your own nostrils or inhaling it through a snuffling device. You can die of nicotine poisoning if you take too much and are not careful. A number of people have died in the last few years in south america after ingesting tobacco juice. There seems to be no compelling evidence that this specific toad was used as a source of fivemo by any indigenous group. In fact, an amateur biochemist developed smoked venom from bupovarius as one means of consuming five mo d mpt.
