The Strokes: A Clean Band

I felt like the strokes were the new G&R because we had Guns N' Roses and then after that you don't ever see leather jackets. I think drinking kind of ramped up over the course of the touring but this is also what kind of pulled the whole thing apart was a confused image things started skewing very young on the second record. You got now where you guys doing drugs too so really pretty much a clean band for a long time at first  but it seeped in eventually, he says.
