The Importance of Carbohydrate Quality

The World Health Organization asked me to do a report for them and they asked me to consider different markers of carbohydrate quality. They said look at dietary GI, dietary GL, whole grain intake and dietary fiber as well as the types of dietary fiber. So I didn't have to decide what I thought was appropriate. Those were four metrics that I considered back in 2016,. Other people have looked at things like fiber grams per thousand kilojoules of energy. And so we're talking to ourselves, what is the best measure of carbohydrate quality and what are the ones that are most useful to us?
