Moral Intuitions and the Mirror of Evil

When we're developing our ethical theories about issues, we begin with moral intuitions. That's the bedrock from which we build. If you had a utilitarian theory of philosophy that entailed it was okay to perform Nazi experiments on children, that would require not you to now abandon your intuition that's wrong, but rather to revise or abandon your theory that it's right. And so for me with the pro-life position, it seems that what unites them is a principle that human life has intrinsic value and dignity.
