Is There Anything We Can Do to Accelerate Progress?
Many forms of progress lead to faster progress, and this is true at multiple levels. Technology itself can often make technological development faster. Building up surplus wealth gives us more to invest in r andd m,. Which then makes progress happen faster, which builds up more surplus wealth. There's also a back loop at the very deep level f like philosophy. And if you go back and look, where did the modern idea of progress originate? It really kind of originates in the west, around the time of bacon, francis bacon.
