How Do You Detect Gravitational Waves?
We can't see or feel the bending of space. All we can do is detect the change in relative distances. People have built these detectors called ligo and vergo, with very stable mirrors underground. They try not to shake em at all, because any shake in those mirrors makes it impossible to see gravitational waves. The first one we saw was in 20 16, at one a nobell prize,. Now we've seen more than a dozen of these things from black holes near by that have collided and sent pulses.
