The US President's Position on Taiwan

US has never given Taiwan a defense guarantee as we actually care about that. The US has promised to supply Taiwan with equipment to defend itself. Meanwhile, in its own interest, the South China Sea is controlled heavily by Beijing. So the US is looking after its own interest and giving Taiwan the means to defend itself but not beyond that.
