The cost to ship a forty foot container from asia to the us was about two thousand dollars. Now it's 16,000 dollars and if you want to pay a premium for on time delivery, 25,000 dollars. China is the leading supplier of these imports to the us but india has seen their exports to the us increase 76 % year every year. We don't know how long this will last. Sumer price index was already up over five % year ever year. But now with the cost of shipping is so much greater, it's likely to be passed on in higher good prices.
