Is There Something Wrong With the Aircraft?
These are indications that something's not right. They were higher than they should have been, right? Ye, ing should have been at a lower altitude, get a little more oxygen into the engines, a little more lift under the wing. And it's assumed, based on the information from the cockpet voice recorder, that the captain was focusing on the instrument indications for the engine even when the first officer said the aircraft was stalling. So that's why he's obsessed with, oh, we have a flame out.
