The Associative Memory Hypothesis

In the 1970s, people working on associative memories were theorizing how you could store memories in a large neural network. They observed that if you have a single layer neural network, you can store memories like definitions in a dictionary. And this is the first iteration of the associative memory hypothesis way back in the 70s. So it was maybe the simplest hypothesis. We went and looked for it. And we found that it actually models it pretty well, not bad.
