In the middle of july, thousands of cubans violently protested in the streets against revolution. It was a shock to see hundreds of people out in the street, chanting and some places turning violent. Yet as all that was happening, the actual scene in cuba calmed down. Things cooled off. Cuba was definitely hurting, it remains hurting, but reality did not quite live up to the picture of imminent collapse painted by the metea. And soon the story, as far as they were concerned, was over, and the world moved on.
