The Soviet of Workers and Soldiers Deputies

After the first week of march, there were about a thousand elected delegates. Then the newly forming soviets out in the provinces and out on the font lines started sending delegates to petrograd. As the soviet grew, the executive committee also grew until it hit more than 70 members. And as this body became increasingly unwieldy, they created another nested committee called the bureau which was made up of mensheviks, srs and trutevik.
