Putin's Support for the Russian Government's Move to End the Cold War
I have a hard time imagining the Russian people especially once the sanctions start to bite are going to be okay with this. Putin has presided over a period of overall domestic stability in Russia and I don't think he would have taken this move unless most of the upper echelons of the Russian government were behind him so he has enough buy-in to think that he can handle this right now but you know medium to long term he should be very very concerned about how Russia's economy is going to function here if it's going to isolate itself and hive itself off from the rest of the world.
