By the 16th century, languages like Italian were emerging for the first time as an instrument of scientific communication. The emergence of new forms of Aristotelianism in the Italian Renaissance goes hand-in-hand with a resurgence of his greatest medieval commentator Ibn Rushd known in Latin as Averuis.
