How Do You Test Your Ads Against Each Other?

On a tactical level how are you testing like ads are you testing different angles and different ad sets. Are you kind of testing everything against each other like what does that look like? I definitely want to get more scientific approach with it, but initially we'll do that research will probably have the main USP's we want to test or whatever in their own campaign. It sort of can depend on the client though and this there's a lot of factors like how many skews do they haveHow aggressive do they want to be with testing and learning and kind of losing money up front.
