Getting Into a Good University Is Always the Thing to Optimize For
From secondary school onwards, the goal of getting into a good university was always the thing to optimize for. The way I advise people is usually by saying that it takes about a week to get work experience. But then you've got the rest of the three months in the summer and spend spend that time working on skills and hobbies that will benefit you in the long run.
