The Role of Parent Comfort With English in Hospitalizations
The study looked at the association between parent comfort with English in hospitalizations and adverse events among those hospitalized children. It found that parents who have limited comfort with English were more likely, their children were more likely to have adverse events. The authors did a really great job of looking at two different things. One is figuring out what adverse events occurred. And then the other thing they did was try to assess language comfort and the language comfort of parents who were taken who were in the caregivers of these kids who are in the hospital.
