In their day, in Patterson, Lain and Rans Day, Italy would have been the focus there. And what we really need is a strong man like Mussolini to come in and get things done because we can't be bothered with persuading people. That requires a strong person to impose it on us all. I think that the great part about Roswell and Patterson in particular in their books is they go against that narrative of getting someone strong in to get things done.
