The Potential Scale of a Super Volcanic Eruption
The last super volcanic eruption of Tabor, which was 75,000 years ago, scattered ash. There's great thick layers of ash over India and Africa as well. And then there'd be a lot of sulfur dioxide and other noxious gases that would get into the atmosphere. But with a super eruption, it's so big that it actually empties out the Earth's crust.
