What Does It Mean to Know?
Knowing is very much the skillful action of people in whatever tasks they take up with and that skillful action doesn't come from knowing a proceduralized or reciprocity of how things are to be done. Carl says we like to view knowledge as a commodity and if it's a commodity it's something that can be sold on. We argue that knowing is fundamentally an ecological process it's not a recognitive process and that's quite a profound shift, he says.
