"I think unfortunately, cancer patients are led to believe that is your only choice. If you don't get chemo, you're basically writing your own death sentence," she says. "The idea of handing over my life and wellbeing to a set of doctors just really freak me out." She reads books about the healing power of food and lifestyle change as part of her treatment.
