Open Lineage and Open Meda Data - What's Your Thoughts?
We can always benefit from having better standards, or, in some cases, standards. But we also really like to think about this problem from the perspective of the custom and what we see is that the real problem is actually that meridids just locked up behind tools,. So it's not even that the apis are bad or opinionated or very specific. It's just there are no aps. We're more than happy to build inter operability with the best standards. Once the market makes a choice, it's literally a matter of writing that one adapter that transforms one format into iodeta hubs types.

The binding element of all data work is the metadata graph that is generated by all of the workflows that produce the assets used by teams across the organization. The DataHub project was created as a way to bring order to the scale of LinkedIn’s data needs. It was also designed to be able to work for small scale systems that are just starting to develop in complexity.
