The Importance of a Tempo Track in Filmmaking
Peter Travers: Sometimes when filmmakers are editing something, they will edit to a. What do they call that Brad? A track. So they use music tracks from other movies and stuff again and then sometimes when the composer actually goes to score that moment it ends up sounding a little bit like the temp track. In the fire, it's not exact copy, but it's very close. It's sounding to the Hans Zimmer track from the Prince of Egypt when the Red Sea is parted. He says Kevin Kiner has composed more Star Wars music than anyone on the planet.
