CHAPTER

The Importance of the Border Between Moderate and Heavy Intensity Exercise

The boundary between heavy and severe intensity exercise is often measured using critical powe a. It's well established that that threshold has very important implications for newo muscular fatiguability. But whether there were any neural muscular implications for exceeding that boundary during exercise, or wasn't that that question had never been addressed? So we designed the study to address that question. During all three erbouts of exercise, ne muscular function was impaired. The reduction in muscle force generating capacity was up to two point six times greater during heavy versus moderate intensity exercise. An act could have implications for, for example, in clinical populations who whose lacte or gas exchange threshold is often very low,. And so they probably
