The Importance of Outspokenness

I think Madonna very much opened that door in a way that nobody else really ever did and still like kind of struggle to in such a mainstream way. It's not to say she never was but she wasn't an underground artist at the time. I think part of the problem is people don't understand what to do with a woman that is outspoken who will stand by her guns.
