i wonder if you have any ideas about how to extract basic principles from the brain, but also really understand the exquisite detail that's present. I've been interested in trying to understand the basic principles underlying the interactions between the neromogetory system and the circretary of the brain. i would say that we take quite different approaches. We're both really interested in how different arms of the ascending arousal system release new modulatory chemicals that change the firing rate and plasticity of er the brain.
