The Politics of Desire
In one of your essays, the politics of desire, you say something quite striking. You conclude that we have never yet been free when it comes to sex. The very idea of sexuality and or sex as a commodity that confers status seems to me a sign of our unfreedom. And so real sexual freedom would be moving beyond all this. It would also be moving beyond the way in which racism, for example, inflects te sexual desire and the hierarchy ofx desirability.
