The Importance of a Healthy BMI in PCOS

The majority of women with PCOS do have an above average BMI, right? That's about 80% but 20% don't. These are called atypical PCOS or the lean PCOS variant. Lean in this case refers to a healthy BMI. The healthy BMI ranges are, of course, from 18 to 24.9. But lean doesn't always mean better, especially in the context of PCOS.
