The Mona Lisa and the Parthenon in 3D Printing

The Arch of Palmyra has sadly been lost to civilisation, but can be recreated through a 3D process. So I began thinking, why not have replicas? And there is very interesting 3D work going on at the moment - and you can do them in Pantellic marble and they would look fantastic. But I'm not sure you'd want to recreate the entire freeze like that. You might want to recreate some of the freeze and have some kind of wonderful digital display that would draw attention to the British Museum's long history of having the sculptures. It sounds like an episode of Lovejoy. Sorry, the 3D printing argument that you can reproduce this.
