How to Deal With Low Level Emotions
If you are not creating a story around that emotion, if you're just focusing on perceiving that emotion, it will dissipate. When you practice this with lower level emotions, what that does is it creates a procedural memory in your body where your body is like, ah, I know how to handle emotions. And so once that feeling, you notice it start to drop or dissipate, it can be helpful to then again rate that out of 10. Once you feel like you're back in a calm and regulated state, then that's the time to think about what happened. What was that emotion trying to tell you? Why did it come up? What can you do about it?
