The Fed's Mistake in Predicting Inflation
There were a number of things that mainly in magnitude, rather than qualitatively, could not have been foreseen. I still don't to this day understand why it took as long as it did. If the Fed was surprised by that, that's a forgivable era. They were certainly surprised by the war in Ukraine. Nobody was predicting that.
