How Do You Avoid Co-Rumination?

When we think about how kids get relief, we put into two big buckets. Talking about feelings is in the expressing bucket and often it is hugely effective. We do at times see we're talking, stops helping; trends into what we call rumination. The more you talk, the worse you feel. So if your kid is ruminating, or she and a friend are ruminating together, like they are just spinning their wheels. And they are feeling worse as they go.
